Standing watch on Centre Court, the steward embodies a kind of stillness — a figure of quiet authority against the ordered green. Captured before change swept through Wimbledon, this photograph marks the end of an era: in 2025, human stewards were replaced by AI, their presence folded into memory.

There’s a calm dignity in this image — a reminder of the human rituals that once framed even the most polished traditions. A glimpse of the last of its kind.
