The lifeguard stands in the fading light, phone in hand, the sky deepening into blue. The pool has emptied, the air still warm — London holding its breath before night.

There’s something timeless about him, caught between reflection and routine. The scene feels both familiar and cinematic, a little like an Edward Hopper painting — that tender solitude that belongs to the end of a summer’s day.
