Taken in my cabin on the overnight ferry from England to Ireland, this photograph captures the quiet in-between in the early hours of the morning — that soft, suspended time before arrival, when the sea hums beneath and dawn begins to rise. Through the window, reflections and horizon blur together; what’s outside and what’s imagined seem to meet.

I’ve always loved looking out of windows — the act of watching without moving, of being still while the world changes. This image holds that feeling: the calm of travel, the soft threshold between departure and belonging.
